Michael Fliri was born in South Tyrol, Italy in 1978. He lives in Italy
He studied art at the Accademia di Belle Arti Bologna/I, the Akademie der
Bildenden Künste, Munich/D
and Kunstakademiet Bergen/N.
Michael produces video, photography and sculpture, as well as live

Michael received important commissions and realized a gigantic video
work for the facade
of the Museion in Bolzano/I (2011). His works
are in various public and private collections.
Michael was artist in residence at the Centre des Récollets Paris/F in
2008 (invited by the Dena Foundation) and at the Air in Antwerp/B in 2011
(selected by the Needcompany).
He won the Artist price awarded by the
City of Vienna with the Ministry of Culture (2007)
and the ZF Art
Award, Friedrichshafen/D (2014).
